NSI (Network Solutions) used to be $35 a year. They are/were the company that registered all domain names no matter where they were bought from. Registering through them directly used to be the most expensive…not sure if that is the case anymore.
Ditto NSI… They are as far as I know just about the *ultimate* (or one of them) “top tier” registrar. I had a domain there when I used Earthlink and when I went away they said…”You’ll regret it!” Not that I did…but I finished up paying far less!
I reckon it would depend on the domain suffix. For a .com or some thing like that it would be NSI(I reckon). But some ccTLD’s are much more expensive.
